Social Media Intern

Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a social media & marketing intern to assist the marketing team. As a member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for writing copy for email campaigns, advertising on Facebook & social media, optimizing social media content & distribution and more. You will assist in the creation and nurturing of great relationships with our students and community members! You’ll support the marketing team with everything digital, from strategy creation to monitoring marketing campaigns. You must be able to think on your feet and change gears quickly.

This job is perfectly suited for a recent college graduate, or someone who is currently pursuing a degree in marketing, PR, etc. You must be able and happy to work 25-29 hours/week.

What You’ll Do: 
Create/design online ads
Buy online ads
Monitor advertising results
Post programs/trainings/events on event websites/calendars
Research places to advertise/promote event (online/print/social media)
Research advertising/marketing best practices
Use Google Analytics and other tools to gather data on web traffic
Optimize our campaigns for SEO content
Track campaign performance of online marketing efforts
Manage the organizations social media accounts & retain/gain followings

What’s Required:
Open-minded, enthusiastic and resourceful
Social Media experience (self-taught or internship experience)
Extremely organized, responsible and detail oriented
Passion for analytics and marketing
Powerful written communication and persuasive writing skills
Strong analytical skills and desire to work with data
HTML experience is a plus
Knowledge and love of the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
Creative mind and quick creative thinking
Desire to learn and thrive
Stellar communication skills
Detail oriented
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work independently and in teams

How to Apply:
In an effort to set up prospective employees to succeed in our fast-paced environment, we ask that you complete three tests: one aptitude test (language, math, and logic), one personality test, and a very brief typing test. The system also asks that you upload a resume.

You will need a quiet computer workstation with internet access, a pen, and some scratch paper. Some assessments are timed, so make sure you have arranged to be distraction-free. You will need approximately 45 minutes to complete the tests, which must be done in one sitting.
